Indonesian Gado Gado
Ingredients:
- 8 tiny new potatoes, scrubbed
- 100gms green beans, left whole, but “topped and tailed”
- 1 large zucchini, julienned
- 1 large carrot, julienned
- 1/2 cabbage, finely shredded
- 8 baby tomatoes
- 100gms mung bean sprouts
- 1 cos lettuce
- serves 4
Peanut Sauce:
- see next recipe for peanut sauce
Directions:
- Boil potatoes until just tender.
- Blanch all other vegetables separately in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain separately undercold water. Allow all vegetables to cool and arrange attractively on a large platter lined with cos lettuce leaves.
- Serve peanut sauce separately (see next recipe).
