Indonesian Gado Gado

Ingredients:

  • 8 tiny new potatoes, scrubbed
  • 100gms green beans, left whole, but “topped and tailed”
  • 1 large zucchini, julienned
  • 1 large carrot, julienned
  • 1/2 cabbage, finely shredded
  • 8 baby tomatoes
  • 100gms mung bean sprouts
  • 1 cos lettuce
  • serves 4

Peanut Sauce:

Directions:

  1. Boil potatoes until just tender.
  2. Blanch all other vegetables separately in boiling water for 2  minutes. Drain separately undercold water. Allow all vegetables to cool and arrange attractively on a large platter lined with cos lettuce leaves.
  3. Serve peanut sauce separately (see next recipe).
