Tomato and Basil Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 kg ripe tomatoes or peeled tinned tomatoes
- 2 medium onions diced
- 2 teaspoons fresh basil
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1/2 cup water 2 cloves garlic
- Serves 4-6
Directions
- Peel tomatoes, chop roughly.
- Add crushed garlic and tomatoes to non-stick pan, cook for 1 minute.
- Add tomato paste and water, stir until smooth and sauce boils, reduce heat. Add onions and basil. Simmer for 2 minutes.
