Tomato and Basil Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 kg ripe tomatoes or peeled tinned tomatoes
  • 2 medium onions diced
  • 2 teaspoons fresh basil
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup water 2 cloves garlic
  • Serves 4-6

Directions

  1. Peel tomatoes, chop roughly.
  2. Add crushed garlic and tomatoes to non-stick pan, cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add tomato paste and water, stir until smooth and sauce boils, reduce heat. Add onions and basil. Simmer for 2 minutes.
