Lentil Bolognaise Sauce
Ingredients
- 450gm packet of Quickpulse Brown Lentils
- 2 onions finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Masterfoods chilli paste
- 1 bouquet garni
- 3 cups of Provisto Sugo tomato sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1-tablespoon fresh chopped herbs
- salt and pepper to taste (optional)
- Serves 4
Directions
- Dry fry onion, garlic and chilli.
- Add lentils, bouquet garni, tomato sauce and water.
- Bring to the boil and simmer for at least 10 minutes. Season and stir in the fresh herbs.
- Serve as a pasta sauce or use as a substitute for meat sauce in lasagne.
- This is also good served with vegetables.
