Tuna Steaks Italienne
Ingredients:
- 2 fresh tuna steaks (120gms each)
- 1-2 cloves garlic
- 75gms onion
- 2 teaspoons oil
- 225gms chopped canned tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon freshly chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
- fresh ground black pepper
- lemon curls
- serves 2
Directions:
- Wrap tuna steaks in foil. Bake at 190C for 20-25 minutes.
- Crush garlic and finely chop onion, dry fry onion and garlic for 2 minutes.
- Add tomatoes, parsley, basil and pepper, bring to boil and simmer for 5 minutes until sauce has thickened.
- Score tuna steaks with a red hot skewer, forming a criss-cross pattern.
- Serve with the sauce and a fresh salad. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon peel curls.
