Tuna Mornay Slice

Ingredients:

  • 60gms plain flour
  • 2 cups non-fat evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 360gms drained canned tuna (in spring water)
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked long grain rice
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 tablespoon chives
  • 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • serves 6

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180C.
  2. In non-stick pan cook flour for 1 minute. Remove from heat, gradually stir in milk.
  3. Return to heat, cook stirring constantly until sauce thickens. Remove from heat.
  4. Add remaining ingredients except cheese and paprika. Stir to combine.
  5. Place into oven proof dish and sprinkle with cheese and paprika. Bake for 30 minutes.
