Swiss Steak

Ingredients:

  • 500gm lean blade steak
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon mixed spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Italian tomato sauce (eg: Provisto Sugo)
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Sherry (optional)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • serves 4

Directions:

  1. Cube steak and place all ingredients in a casserole dish.
  2. Mix well and marinate overnight.
  3. Cover and cook at 160C for 2 1/2 hours.
