Napolitano Steak

Ingredients:

  • 4 veal steaks (120gms each)
  • 400gms canned peeled tomatoes, mashed
  • 1 1/2 cups green onions, sliced on the diagonal
  • 3 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • serves 4

Directions:

  1. Trim all fat from steaks. Combine onion and garlic and dry fry gently in a non-stick pan until soft.
  2. Add mashed tomatoes and remaining ingredients, simmer until sauce is reduced and thickened.
  3. Place in blender and blend until smooth. Grill veal, and pour sauce over.
  4. Serve with salad or vegetables of choice.
