Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons gelatine
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups skim milk powder
  • 1 litre (4 cups) skim milk
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • serves 10

Directions:

  1. Combine gelatine and water in saucepan, stir over low heat until sugar and gelatine have dissolved, pour into large bowl.
  2. Add powdered milk, whisk until smooth, gradually beat in milk.
  3. Pour mixture into 2 freezer trays; freeze until almost set.
  4. Spoon mixture into large bowl, add vinegar and vanilla. Beat until thick and creamy.
  5. Refreeze and then serve.
